4/11: Dresden, Germany

After a fun time in Wroclaw, we headed off to Dresden. The club was right near a bombed-out cathedral that had been converted into an open-air arts space. I think they were working on a production of Beethoven's Fidelio.

Here's our van Sanjay (did I mention that we named this van Sanjay?) outside the venue in Dresden called AZ Conni. It was a squatted complex that had a show space and a kindergarten!

The squat had a really nice sleeping area for the bands that was covered in graffiti from other bands that had stayed there. Notable tags were left by Al Burian and The Gaslight Anthem.



The best bartender in Dresden. All in all, a great night spent with some great kids.

4/10: Wroclaw, Poland

The drive from Krakow to Wroclaw was a short one so we had some time to hang around Krakow and enjoy the nice weather and beautiful city. Scott and I outside Cafe Alchemia.

After a short drive, we arrived in Wroclaw (pronounced Vra-slav, really!)



Here's the outside of the squat we played. It was an awesome squat run by some cool kids. Unfortunately the batteries in my camera died once we reached the venue so these are the only pictures I've got from Wroclaw. Sorry!

4/9: Krakow, Poland

On our way out of Berlin there were some street performers around who wanted to wish us safe travels. Thanks, guys!

Poland: The Land of Lovely Rest Stops!





About 2 hours outside of Krakow we hit miserable traffic. It was so bad that everyone was out of their cars for a good 15 minutes because we hadn't been moving.



We made the best of it by having races on the highway divider.





Finally in Krakow! Other than the miserable traffic, our trip was made more difficult because our GPS didn't have any maps for Eastern Europe! We were definitely unprepared to be without directions or a GPS but we made it to the club with the help of some friendly Poles. Here's Blakfish at Cafe Alchemia.



The club was an amazing old bohemian jazz club. The backstage had frames pictures of all the jazz greats who had played there, though most of them were Polish and unknown to me.

After the show was over we hung around the club for some late-night goofing around. Note Jeff on the drums.

I wish I had taken more pictures of the cafe we played in Krakow. It was amazing, tons of people came to the show and a good time was had by all.

4/8: Berlin, Germany

In the morning we had some more time to explore the big squat where we played. Here's some awesome trash sculptures.

4/7: Hannover, Germany

We were up at 7 AM to start driving to Hannover. Google told us the drive would be about 10 hours, it ended up taking us closer to 12!!!



We did get to take two more ferry trips, though. Here's the view from the ferry between Sweden and Denmark.

Finally, after 12 hours in the van, we get to Hannover! Luke and Scott couldn't be happier.



The club was in the middle of a big squatted complex. They had an amazing spread of food waiting for us!



The regular soundguy at the club couldn't make it so I ended doing sound for the show. Here's the soundbooth at Club Glocksee.





The long drive was totally worth it. The show was packed! Blakfish playing to the swarming masses in Hannover.



After the show, Kirk did some guest bartending.



Everyone had an amazing time in Hannover.

4/6: Vanersborg, Sweden

Before we left Norway we wanted to get some pictures in the snow outside Oslo. Here's Blakfish in all their glory.

Finally in Sweden! We played in a very small town called Vanersborg which was on a massive lake. Luke and I walked around by the lake and took some pictures.

The show was at a youth center called Cafe Mic. Lots of kids showed up and boy did they like to mosh!



We spent the night at the club. Here's Luke waking up in his private sleeping quarters AKA the stage.
