3/29: Brighton
We headed down to Brighton, right on the southern coast of England. We were all excited (me especially, having just read "Brighton Rock" by Graham Greene). Here's a flyer for the show outside the venue. The venue had a Banksy on the side, though I won't post a picture of it to keep the blog SFW (you know the one with the two cops? It was that one.)
Jeff and Gavin talk with Ash who runs Small Town America, the label who released the We Versus The Shark record in the UK.
Brighton was awesome! Any place that has a huge James Brown mural has got to be great. "LIVING IN AMERICA!"
BRIGHTON!
The view from the Brighton Pier. In the background you can see the remains of the West Pier that burned down a few years ago.
The show went great. We stayed with a great guy named Chris and on the way we saw a bar that promised "NO COSTA COFFEE!" It was one of them big shames, you know?
We stayed up late watching a UK show called Peep Show and a comedian called Bill Bailey.
