4/4: Copenhagen, DK
We stayed in a nice hostel in Utrecht and woke up to find our van was missing. This is the parking spot where our van had been last night!!!
Apparently this sign says something like "No Parking on Saturday Morning, Open Air Market". You'll notice the towing fee at the bottom was €345, which at the time of this posting is $454.93!!! So we got towed and had to shell out a ton of money to get the van back. We tried to claim ignorance since we couldn't read the sign in Dutch but they weren't buying it. Thanks alot, Utrecht!
Finally got the van back and we were on our way to Copenhagen.
The trip to Denmark was long. We had to drive from Holland, through Germany, then catch a ferry to Denmark. Here's a shot from the deck of the ferry. Scandinavia!
Tom from Blakfish having a good time on the ferry.
Having a good time, I swear!
This is Whiz, the drummer from Blakfish.
Sam from Blakfish, excited to be in Denmark!
Land ho!
On dry land, on the road again.
Giant Danish Windmill (I think this will be the name of my new solo noise project).
We got to Copenhagen just in time to soundcheck. The show was a lot of fun, lots of Danish kids had come to see us. We sold a few CD's at 100 kroner each! Unfortunately that's only about $10. Luke shows off his 100kr bill.
Day One of Scandinavia was great!
